NOMINATION AND ELECTION NOTICE
UNITED FACULTY OF FLORIDA-UNIVERSITY OF WEST FLORIDA CHAPTER
NOMINATIONS
Nominations for the offices of President, Vice President for Grievances, Vice-President for Bargaining, Secretary, Treasurer, Eight (8) Senators, Four (4) FEA Delegates, and a Membership Officer, will be accepted from the floor at the February 2026 membership meeting at the date, time, and place indicated below. The term of office will run for two years beginning August 8, 2026. The candidate elected as President will also serve as a Senator to the UFF Senate.

Building 32, Room 215
Nominations may also be made in writing and must be emailed to Thomas Jonte at ThomasJonte@gmail.com by February 23. As provided in the Chapter Bylaws, any member who has paid dues through February 20, 2026 and is in good standing is eligible to nominate candidates and run for office. Candidates must accept nomination at the nomination meeting or, if not in attendance, submit a written acceptance by email by February 26 to Thomas Jonte at ThomasJonte@gmail.com.
ELECTION
The election of UFF-UWF Chapter officers will be conducted at the date, time, and place indicated below:
Date: Monday, March 23, 2026
Time: 8:45 AM – 10:45 AM
Place: Bld 22 – UWF University Commons
(in the area in front of the Commons Auditorium)
Any member who has paid dues through March 2026 prior to 5:00 p.m. on March 22, 2026 will be eligible to vote. Members will be asked to present a driver’s license or some other form of identification at the polls.
